Born in Mumbai, lived in Singapore, Dubai and now a resident of Toronto, I like to think of myself as a ‘Fine Art’ and ‘Travel’ photographer’. I started out as an accountant, but found myself working with various airlines in operations and logistics, career portfolio also involves with a brief stint as a ‘Streetcar’ driver with ‘Toronto Transit Commission’. I am usually categorized under the labels of vagabond, backpacker (25 countries and counting), couch-surfer and a member of 100 degrees club (worked outdoors in temperatures ranging from +55 to -55 degrees Celsius).
I am a self-taught guy, courtesy of free online classes, Youtube videos, public libraries and other photographers. I started out with a point and shoot few years ago with a photo group called “Toronto Photo Walks”. Having no friends in this new country my intentions was not to learn or take photographs but to talk to the people of the city and make some friends. But somewhere along the line I realized that I was actually enjoying the whole process of photography, it jumped from being a fascination to hobby and the eventually in to a passion.
I really can’t be confined to any one of the categories of photography; I usually jump from one to another in a heartbeat. Over the years I have moved between Architecture, Street, Portraits and landscape photography. I am foremost a traveler and a section of my portfolio has been dedicated towards this category, I have also been an in-house photographer for a new business venture called “Mealinspirations” based in Toronto. You can also find my photographs on “Getty Images”.
I can be reached by email or my phone at any times and I would be willing to work with you on your requirements.
Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow. – “Imogen Cunningham”
